PARKING was at a premium in Taree's Euroka Drive on Saturday as hundreds converged on number three for the Quota International Taree Garden Party, held in support of the Princess Charlotte Alopecia Foundation.

Between 300 and 400 attended - including special guest, 'Princess' Charlotte (Adamson) herself - and while figures are yet to be tallied, it appears Quota has raised in the vicinity of $3000.

The foundation also received donations of hair from a number of people, particularly young people, that will be used to make wigs for alopecia sufferers.

Among the donors was Jocelyn Retnaraja who cut a large proportion of her extremely long hair to donate to the foundation, but also to raise money for the leukaemia foundation.

She had aimed to raise $250 and believes she has exceeded that total.

The day's activities included free entertainment for children including 'fairies', a jumping castle and Mr Whippy, while the adults enjoyed the Quota cake stall, wine and cheese tasting, raffles, musical entertainment and displays.

A fashion parade featuring clothing from Autograph and Sussan was also a hit.

Another big part of the day was the demonstration by students from Advanced Academy of Hairdressing Port Macquarie.
